  • Tuesday weekly - Melton's App & Tap - 6:30 PM - Moderate. The route is around 12 miles from Melton's through Avondale Estates and back. Over the bridge, around the lake, through the cemetery, through the seminary and through the park. Need any more enticement? Then try the 21 mile long option. This very social group meets after the ride at Melton's for fun, food, and spirits. Meet in the parking lot at Melton's App & Tap at the corner of N. Decatur Rd. and Scott Blvd. in Decatur. Helmets are required at all times. Head and tail lights are required from October through March. No ride if raining.   • Thursday weekly - Decatur Wonderful Evening Ride - 6:30 PM. Moderate. This ride winds through Decatur & Atlanta going through Candler Park, Druid Hills, Morningside, Piedmont Park, Ansley, Sherwood Forest & back. This is a night ride and requires a front & rear light. Reflective clothing is recommended. Starts behind the CVS at W. Ponce de Leon & W. Commerce in Decatur. Park in the bank parking lot and line up in the drive way next to Mellow Mushroom.   • Saturday weekly - Sam's Old Freight Room Ride - 2:00 PM. Easy. Continue the tradition! An easy 11 mile ride through Avondale Estates, Oakhurst & Decatur. Mainly on quiet residential streets. Special attention given to beginning riders. Leaves from E. Howard Ave. across from Farmstead 303 Restaurant (Decatur's train depot & former home of the Freight Room).   • July 24 & 25 - BRAG Summer Ride - Dalton, GA. Join BRAG for a Southern Hot Hundred in beautiful Dalton, Ga. Dalton is the carpet capital of the world and was a favorite BRAG overnight stop on a number of occasions. Routes are 50 miles each day. There will be a fully supported Century Ride on Saturday. Celebrate the finish with a free lunch each day (price included in your registration fee). Fully stocked rest stops located about every 15 miles along the routes. Lots more! Register on active.com.   • August 8 - Bicycle South Ride To Stone Mountain Ride -Sunday. 9 AM . Come join the Bicycle South crew for the shop's first Stone Mountain ride of the season. This is a good beginner/family type ride so bring your friends and family. Distance is about 20 miles round trip. We take the PATH Trail out to the mountain and back as a group with an optional loop around the park. Free refreshments afterwards. Call the store for more details 404-636-4444.
  • August 29 - Wilson 100 - Senoia, GA. The 37th annual Century ride named in memory of past SBL President (& all around great guy Scott Wilson). This is a great century to ride with lots of "extras"! Register early - ride limited to first 1200 riders. For more info, call 770-313-7553 or visit www.wilson100.org
  • September 11 - 7th Annual Nut Roll - Albany, GA. The Nut Roll is a fully supported event that features routes of 30, 46, 62 and 100 miles. Options are in a progressive loop that takes you through scenic country areas that are mostly flat with just a few rolling hills. Register at Active.com.   • September 18 - 10th Annual Beautiful Backroads Century - Cartersville, GA. This classic early fall ride offers a variety of mileage options through the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Options are approximately 14, 31, 48, 66 & 100 miles - the route intensity is moderate to strenuous with the increased mileage. Support throughout the ride is abundant with support vehicles and rest stops every 15-20 miles. Each rest stop provides a wide assortment of refreshments. Afterwards, riders are treated to a feast with music & a sampling of Anheuser Busch products. (The ride starts at the Anheuser Busch Brewery). For more information, visit www.bikebbc.com

  • October 3 - Lewis Grizzard & Catfish Memorial - Moreland, GA. Enjoy the beautiful Coweta County countryside with ride options of 6, 25 or 66 miles. Registration fee includes t-shirt and lunch. Register by September 13 to ensure a t-shirt. For more information, visit www.cowetaferst.org
